
New York, NY November 27, 2007: Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company Inc., whose roster includes the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend and Wolfmother, announce that Rock Star: Supernova fan favorite Dilana recorded a powerful cover of Queen’s “Killer Queen” that was used during and to promote VERSUS’ coverage of the Sony Ericsson Championships which aired on the network November 6-11. The re-recording and use of song was brokered by Cherry Lane, Sanctuary Management, Munger Music and VERSUS.
The Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid, Spain featured some of biggest names in women’s tennis such as Justine Henin, Jelena Jankovic and Svetlana Kuznetsova, who battled it out for the season-ending titles and a share of the $3 million prize purse. Sensational rocker Dilana, who is best known for her participation on the hit CBS reality-show Rock Star: Supernova, is currently working on material for a new album. Her version of “Killer Queen” is now available for purchase on iTunes.
