Leslie Bricusse is a songwriter known to audiences of both stage and screen. His film work includes Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, Doctor Dolittle, Scrooge, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Superman, Victor/Victoria, Santa Claus, Home Alone, Hook, Tom & Jerry, various Pink Panther movies and Goodbye, Mr. Chips. Among his stage credits are Stop the World I Want To Get Off, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd, Pickwick, Scrooge, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Doolittle and the smash Broadway hit Jekyll & Hyde. He has collaborated with Anthony Newley, Henry Mancini, Jule Styne, Andre Previn, John Williams and John Barry. Bricusse has been nominated for 10 Oscars, 8 Grammys and 4 Tonys; he has won 2 Oscars, a Grammy and 8 Ivor Novello Awards (the premier British songwriting award). Bricusse was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame in 1989.
