Jean-Baptiste is a writer/producer signed to Will.I.Am Music through Cherry Lane. Traveling to various parts of the world at an early age, he was able to gain an appreciation for different musical cultures. While attending college at VCU in Richmond, Virginia, Jean met up with the Black Eyed Peas on a tour stop in Washington D.C. and struck a friendship with Will.I.Am. "Will was the first person who told me to stop rapping in bands and focus on songwriting and producing. I started doing production and songwriting with Noize Trip many years before relocating to Los Angeles at Will's advice," says Jean-Baptiste. Jean-Baptiste's new production company "Free School"(Mike McHenry and Jean-Baptiste) have been busy in the studio working on various projects.
