Rising pop and country songwriter Donny Hackett spent considerable time performing in bands before deciding to pursue songwriting full time. Born in California and raised in Vancouver, Hackett had many of his songs recorded by Canadian artists in the late 80s and 90s. He then established himself on the country scene in Nashville, before coming full circle back to California to pursue pop music opportunities in Los Angeles. Hackett's stylistic diversity is reflected in a broad range of co-writing partners including Paul Williams, Al Kasha, Danny Wilde, Steve Seskin and J.D. Martin. His co-write (with Jeremy Campbell) of "Go Back" was a Top-30 hit by country artist Chalee Tennison in 2000.
