Milton T. Okun - Founder

Milt Okun founded Cherry Lane Music Publishing in 1960. A noted music arranger and record producer, Milt has garnered 75 gold and platinum Records and 16 grammy nominations while working with some of music’s greatest artists including Harry Belafonte, John Denver, Placido Domingo, and Peter, Paul and Mary. The company has since grown into the Cherry Lane Music Group, encompassing Publishing, Print, Magazines, Digital and Licensing Divisions.

Peter W. Primont - Chief Executive Officer

Peter Primont joined the company in 1986 as President and became CEO of the Cherry Lane Music Group in 1990. He sits on the Board for the National Music Publishers' Association. Peter spent his early career as a Systems Engineer/Programmer for AT&T. Before coming to Cherry Lane, Peter worked as an Internal Business Consultant for American Express and was a partner in TCI.

Michael Connelly - Executive Vice President, Business Development

Mike has been with Cherry Lane since 1985 and during that time has worked at all aspects of music publishing including administration, licensing, royalties and creative. For many years Mike served as Vice President/General Manager and oversaw all aspects of the Administration, Licensing and Income Tracking departments. In his current role, Mike is working to bring new business in to Cherry Lane, overseeing the Company’s relationships with its partner sub-publishers around the world and maintaining a direct overview of the Company’s Income Tracking department.

Dan Lieblein - Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Cherry Lane in 2002 Dan Lieblein served as CFO at USA Films (a subsidiary of USA Networks) and October Films. He has also provided financial advisory services to motion picture and other entertainment related companies. Dan began his career in film distribution as the corporate controller for Cinecom Entertainment Group.

Richard Stumpf - Senior Vice President, Creative Services & Marketing

Richard Stumpf is responsible for writer signings and content acquisitions and collaborates with fellow senior management on business development strategy, including the implementation of strategic joint ventures. In addition, Richard oversees the Marketing Department, which is responsible for identifying and negotiating song placement opportunities for film & television, commercials, records, and new media outlets.   More More

Philip Cialdella - Senior Vice President, Administration & Licensing

Philip Cialdella joined the company in 1999 and oversees all day-to-day operations of the Administration, Licensing, and Special Services divisions. Prior to joining Cherry Lane, Phil worked with The Harry Fox Agency in various capacities in Synchronization & New Media licensing.

Keith Hauprich - Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs

Keith is responsible for all business affairs-related and legal matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements. He was previously Senior Director, Business & Legal Affairs. Prior to joining Cherry Lane in 2000, Keith was an associate at a New York law firm where he worked closely with a diverse range of entertainment-industry based clients including platinum-selling recording artists, songwriters, producers and managers.

Dan Rosenbaum - Vice President, Creative Services & Marketing

Dan Rosenbaum joined Cherry Lane Print in 1986 serving first as Production Manager, then Vice President of Publications. Having joined Cherry Lane Publishing in 2000, Dan is responsible for song placements in commercials, film, television and sheet music, exploring new avenues for catalog development and exploitation, and overseeing all website content. Before joining Cherry Lane, Dan was Production Manager at classical music publisher G. Schirmer, Inc.

Young Hwang - Vice President, Royalties

Young Hwang joined the company in 1999. She was previously Director of Royalties for both the ARC Music Group and Music Sales Corp.

Brooke Primont - Vice President, Creative Services & Marketing

Brooke oversees all areas of Cherry Lane’s synch exploitation: Advertising, Film & TV, New Media, and Video Games. Additionally, she oversees both the Music Library and the company website.  During her time at Cherry Lane, Primont has been a key contributor to the department and has obtained numerous placements for the company's writers in Film & TV.  Primont has over 10 years of music industry experience. She joined Cherry Lane in 2003 after 7 years at BMI, where she worked closely affiliating songwriters and publishers, as well as putting on showcases for emerging artists.

Paul Morgan - Vice President, Creative Services & Marketing

Paul Morgan is involved with both new acquisitions and exploiting the catalog. He also works closely with the current writer roster to pursue recordings within the artist community. Prior to working at Cherry lane, Paul spent several years as VP Creative at EMI Music Publishing both in the UK and US. During that time, he signed Third Eye Blind, Chumbawumba and Bubba Sparxxx amongst others. Paul started his A&R career in the UK at Atlantic Records UK, followed by EMI Records and Polydor Records.

Anthony Verbanac - Senior Technology Officer

Anthony Verbanac oversees Cherry Lane's Information Technology department and is responsible for developing and executing the company's IT strategy.  Anthony began his IT career in 1994 and started with the company in August 2000.

Greg Barron - Director, Licensing

Gregg Barron joined the company in 2002 and oversees all aspects of synchronization and mechanical licensing. Prior to joining Cherry Lane, Gregg worked in various capacities at EMI Music Publishing’s Synch Licensing Department. Gregg received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Industry from Syracuse University.

Michelle Berlin - Creative Director, Nashville

Berlin arrived at Cherry Lane with ten years of music publishing experience. Previously, she worked at BMG Music Publishing in Nashville as Creative Director. At BMG, Berlin secured numerous recordings for top country artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts for the Grammy winning “Bless The Broken Road.” In her role heading the Nashville office, Berlin is responsible for signing writers, handling catalogue acquisition and exploitation, and creative development.

Dawn Mueller - Director, Special Services

Dawn Mueller joined the company in 1999. Among her responsibilities, Dawn is the primary contact for such clients as DreamWorks Films Music Publishing and DreamWorks Animation Music Publishing. In addition, Dawn negotiates and licenses all sample use requests.

David Shovers - Director, Income Tracking

David Shovers joined the company in 1999.  Among his responsibilities, David is responsible for the review and analysis of incoming royalty statements from all Domestic and Foreign sources.  David also coordinates the analysis of the financial data of potential acquisitions which the Publishing Company considers, as well as handling many other special projects which arise on a regular basis.

Joei Alvarez - Director, Creative Services, West Coast

Based in Los Angeles, Joei Alvarez works closely with her New York counterparts as she oversees West Coast-related pitching including Film & TV, trailers, advertising, and new media.  Joei comes to Cherry Lane with over 15 years of pitching experience, including stints at Arista Records and Warner Chappell.

Peter Raleigh - Director, Administration

Peter joined the company in 1998 and oversees all aspects of Cherry Lane's Administration Department including society and copyright registration, counterclaim resolution, and dissemination of catalogue information to Cherry Lane's foreign sub-publishers. He was formerly Managing Director of the award winning Spotlight Repertory Theatre, a not-for-profit organization that brought the live music theater experience to audiences throughout the tri-state area. A detour via General Electric and PricewaterhouseCoopers happily brought him to Cherry Lane.
